Why Us

5S Mentoring

At Kingmakers IAS Academy, we believe in approaching the civil service examinations one step at a time! The roadmap of the journey of becoming an IAS is broken down into milestones and our aspirants are constantly motivated and individually mentored to stay focused on the next milestone ahead of them with a broader picture of the IAS in the back brain. This approach has made it easier for an average performing aspirant to successfully break the obstacle immediately ahead of him and move one step closer to his dream of becoming as IAS. Unlike most other academies which deem to have a mentorship program, we stand unique in having established a 5S mentoring system – a system that functions as an integral part of the training itself and not restricted to any program that the aspirant is enrolled to.

Our 5S Mentoring system delivers a 360degree approach to mentor an aspirant until he/she cracks the UPSC exam in its entirety.
1

SORT

This includes identifying the determination level of an aspirant, his/her time availability for UPSC preparation and personality assessment. Mentoring at this stage includes helping the aspirant chart a road-map, defining milestones that will aid in focused preparation and identifying a suitable program that could help the aspirant with the level of preparation that may be needed in his/her case.

2

STRAIGHTEN

Mentoring at this stage includes training and individual follow-up on an aspirant’s progress with his/her listening skills, reading & writing skills and memory enrichment. A detailed study plan and strategy is devised for every aspirant and a regular evaluation of the effectiveness of the study plan is measured. The rule here is one size does not fit all. Alterations to the study plan are done based on the output of the aspirants and capacity to adhere to the plan. This cycle happens in iterations until the aspirant gets to speed and in par with what his/her program demands.

3

SHINE

Once the aspirant has developed fundamental skills needed for UPSC preparation, he/she is now mentored at a performance level based on the daily/weekly test results. Subject experts mentor each individual carefully through an individual assessment program popularly known as IAP, where the focus is to identify the weak areas of the aspirant for a given subject and help him/her cope up with the setbacks, if any. This cycle repeats itself until the entire course syllabus has been delivered. Weak areas in each subject are identified, bad practices removed and replaced with result yielding alternatives by the mentors.

4

STANDARDIZE

Mentoring at this stage involves identifying and standardizing the study strategy for the different subjects of GS-Prelims/Mains that has worked well for the candidate and standardizing it as a habit throughout the revision and rigorous test series phase. Personality Development Workshops and Motivational Programs by best-in-class IAS officers are organized in order to handle stress and to create synergy that would positively lead to better performance of the aspirants in the UPSC exams.

5

SUSTAIN

MentoringRegardless of the success factor in the UPSC exam, every aspirant is individually counseled by a mentor for a post-mortem analysis of his/her performance and highly encouraged to sustain through the UPSC exam process without giving up. Any areas of improvement identified in the post-mortem analysis is immediately addressed and strategized and the cycle continues itself until the aspirant successfully cracks the exam.

Our 5S Mentoring System is the backbone of all success stories in KingMakers and this answers how we bridge the gap between your dream and destiny of becoming as IAS.

Why Us

Six Sigma

TIME – Time is very crucial when it comes to IAS preparation and an aspirant needs to master the art of using every minute of the day effectively. That is why we at KingMakers take great care in ensuring there is no, or to the least, a minimal wait time for an aspirant to have any of his/her needs met while in campus, right from finding a slot to park one’s bike, availing the needed setup for the day’s class as per schedule to even a lesser wait time at the canteen during breaks.

Six Sigma is about improving quality. The first step in that process is defining what “quality” means, from the perspective of the people whose opinions matter most: the aspirants. That is why KingMakers IAS Academy is no ordinary institute. We are a Six Sigma organization truly committed to exceling in all areas of our operations including Facilities Management.

What distinguishes us from the other academies is the professionalism and precise execution of our operations in ensuring quick turn-around time for any service/help that an aspirant would need while in our campus.

For every grievance of an aspirant, an immediate CAUSE-EFFECT analysis is performed and corrective actions are identified, implemented and monitored until it becomes a part of our inherent protocol.

1

DEFINE

Define the grievance or feedback reported or request placed by an aspirant

2

MEASURE

3

ANALYZE

4

IMPROVE

5

CONTROL

Implement the solution and modify the existing process to avoid repetition of such issue in future

WE DO NOT TEACH OUR ASPIRANTS HOW TO MANAGE TIME.
WE SHOW THEM HOW TO DO IT!
